I'm giving this product 5 stars because it's inexpensive, very solid and arrived quickly. However, soon after installing this on my 100lb banana bag I realized that this spring is far too stiff for a 100lb bag. There was no "spring" motion and it did not absorb any impact. I replaced it with a 100lb spring and it worked like a charm. So only use this if your heavy bag is nearly 300lbs....
I bought this for use with my heavy bags as they are attached to I-beams in my basement. To help reduce noise when using them, a good quality spring is essential. This does exactly that and has held up well even against lots of sessions with the heavy bag. The spring construction is strong and I would use these for other applications if I saw a use for them.

Hung a 100lb title heavy bag on this. It takes a lot of the shock load off the beam.
Holds my 70lb bag really nice. Gives it a little spring so it’s not so hard on my wrists.

Spring is fine but gave it 4 stars because it’s way way to stiff for a 80 lb heavy bag. Makes no difference. Bought it based on some other reviews.

Fabulous - works splendidly for tree hammock
Using for a heavy bag; I have this connected to my ceiling mount with a cloth tow strap and it make the heavy bag much more quiet from inside the house.
