Installation is easy with the hardware included. When inflating the pillow we found the best way is to insert it in to the zippered pocket first, zip the pocket all the way until the pillow's valve is the only thing sticking out. Since a pump is not included we used an air pump we own. When drilling in to the ceiling for mounting it helps to put the bolt next to your drill bit and mark the bolt's length with a piece of tape. This way you have a better idea of how far you will need to drill. After mounting you adjust the length of the rope, secure the rope and then your child is ready to play!
If you have a child with sensory needs or even if you don't it is a perfect, fun addition to their bedroom or backyard! Given sample to test and return my personal honest opinion. My video represents that everything I say is true. I do not promise 5 star reviews. Thanks for watching!
My autistic two year old is extremely tall measuring 42in and weighs 41 pounds. There is plenty of room for him in this swing and my nine year old daughter fits in it too. My husband and his brother installed it last night; the most difficult part was deciding where to put it. Once they found the right spot it didn't take long. Instead of using the hardware included, they thought the $20 box that I added to my purchase that was recommend was sturdier. Both kids really love the swing! The two year old who normally runs back and forth through the living room late at night and doesn't fall asleep until midnight, retired at 9:30pm last night after using the swing for long time! That was a miracle! We are very happy with this swing and would highly recommend it to our friends for any child.
My toddler son has some sensory issues (likely on the spectrum) and had taken to bonking his head on his bedroom wall for long periods in the night. His therapist suggested trying a swing to satisfy his need for vestibular motion. We wanted something for indoors so we could use it any time, and we are very pleased with this swing.
The fabric is a thick, sturdy canvas, but not rough. The stitching is very well done, and the included hanging apparatus works very well. We ended up drilling it into a ceiling beam and haven't had a problem since we put it up! I do recommend putting the inflatable cushion into the pocket before blowing it up and underinflating it some as other reviewers have mentioned.
As for my son, his head banging tapered off quickly over the course of a couple weeks and he almost never does it anymore so long as he gets swing sessions several times a week. I'm so relieved for his poor little head and bedroom walls!
The swing is also sturdy enough that he likes to share it with his older brother or twin sister for some sibling bonding time. Lots of snuggles and giggles are had by all, and it holds two small kids comfortably. They even enjoy twisting it/spinning with no problems.
This is a lot less expensive than the swings they sell specifically for sensory needs and works fine for smaller children (I'm guessing it will probably stop being comfortable around 8 or 10ish, depending on different factors).
Edited at bottom paragraph:
We are on our second seat, after the first one came with a leaking cushion (we used a pillow instead)...and then the swing started tearing badly within two weeks of use. Amazon's customer service was great with the replacement, but we'll see if this 2nd swing lasts longer than the first. My kids are between 40-60 lbs., so definitely not above the weight limit, and while they used this swing heavily and fully, they don't generally destroy things quickly.
First things first: The swings look great and the kids LOVE them!
Interestingly, the second swing we received is not identical to the first. I'm wondering if it is a newer/older model, or if the first was a knockoff of some sort. Differences: the first looked like the green swing in the picture (darker green trim, red zipper, etc.), and the second has blue trim and interior and a white zipper. The first swing had a much softer canvas material, but it didn't hold up well at all; the new one is a courser material, and hopefully also stronger. The first swing had a cloth pocket inside (where the largest tear occurred), and the new one doesn't. The second swing didn't come with all of its hardware (no rope), and also came in a terribly damaged box that ironically said: "Fragile, handle with care" on multiple places. The box was so damaged that we could see the swing inside through the holes in the box. Time will tell if the swing is fragile or not...
I'll try to edit my response after we get a bit more use out of this replacement swing.
*Edit: We've had the new swing for more than two months now and it is used multiple times every day. It is holding up well so far! The kids have been slightly gentler with it, but not significantly so and there is no sign of ripping. We're happy with this!
Perfect for our playroom. Kids have a blast with this swing hammock. We leave it a little deflated inside so that its easier to sit inside the pod. Our 4 yo swings from it like Tarzan and its holding up well!

Super easy to hang up on a tree. Kids loved it immediately. 11& 8 years old. Not thrilled about the ducky-ness (but that's what could be delivered last minute for Xmas) but love the swing itself.
UPDATE: 3 months later--the blow up insert that makes the pillow they sit on sprung a leak. I sliced open the plastic thing, stuffed in a goodwill pillow & duct-tape sealed it. They say it's comfy again.
I took a star away cause the bolts broke so i had to go and buy my own. Not like they are pricey but it was inconvenient. Other then that it came on time, and was super easy to install and hang and is very nice and seems sturdy. I suggest hanging with a fishermans knot. I noticed no one said how to hang the pod from the ceiling and i found that was the easiest, nicest looking, and most secure way.
I did a lot of research before I bought this, I have a 6 year old with ASD, and intilectual disabled, I wasn't sure if he would like it or use it, but I was wrong, he loves it, I hung it in the living room and he users it all the time. It's more of a toy I think for him because he loves swinging in it ask over the place, he's a mad man in it!! Definitely stimulating for him, my daughter is very jeolus of it, I didn't think it would hold her s he's about 80#, but it does just fine. He won't sleep in it or just chill out in it but as long as he's just enjoying it, it doesn't matter, I already got my moneys worth. I would definitely recommend it and probably will get my daughter one if they make them in bigger sizes for her.
I bought this as my youngest two use a similar swing in therapy. I had a heck of a time getting the disc into the bottom fabric section. (Putting the disc in that part is a must, otherwise if you are not of adult size, it slips out from under you.) Once properly assembled the kids were able to sit in the swing without it sliding around. However, so far the only child of mine that likes it is the 6 year old, and she can't get in or out of it by herself.
