just put up our new East Coast Hammock with these new 8 foot hammock straps. The old ones were longer and I wrapped around the trees twice. These only need to be wrapped once. I also like the addition of the two carabiners. We put two teenagers in the hammock to test and it is solid. We live on the beach and used to screw the eyelet into the trees every other year, because they rusted out. I hated to put so many holes in the trees. The straps are so much easier on the trees and me.
These straps are great. They are strong and my tree doesn't get damaged. I've had this product for the last 2 weeks or so and I've left it outside. It seems to be holding up in the elements.
I didn't give it a 5 star because the D rings are too small. The D rings could be larger or provide 2 sizes in the package. With my current set up, I have to use both of the D rings, which is not really ideal.
I am pleased with the quality and thickness of these straps. I appreciate that they do not harm my coconut trees. Easy to use, strong and durable. The included carabiners are high quality as well. I'm glad I chose this set!
Texas state parks require 2" straps to hang you hammock. We bought these and have had zero issues.
They are a bit longer than I had realized
Very durable and will definitely come in handy when hammock camping. My only issue which is not that big of an issue unless you like your pack very light and if you are into not using a lot of pack space for a single use item is that these straps add a decent amount of weight and they take up a decent amount of space.
