This is the second Yucatan Hammock Chair from Hammocks Rada I've bought. I absolutely LOVE it!! I wore the first one out after two years of almost daily use, sitting in it to relax and read a good book, taking naps in it, and my kids standing on it and swinging. I even left it out in the wind, rain, and snow. I'm quite sure it would have lasted longer had I taken better care of it. I tried a different hammock chair and it just wasn't the same. It was smaller and not as comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hammock chair.
This was such a great purchase. It just broke after 5 years. The first couple years, I took it inside in the fall. After that, It stayed on the porch in the snow. I had it mounted on the edge of the porch, so it was partially covered by the porch and part in the yard. It was so comfortable. My son loved it (now, he's 14 and he still loves to grab and book and sit there and read). I will be ordering another as we got a lot of use out of it. The hardware I bought is still mounted and in great shape. One of the strings broke....but the hammock is still in decent condition. I might rig something up with the old one and put it under a tree in the back yard and get a little more use out of that one too. When he was little, we both sat in the hammock together. I remember it being rated to 300 lb. The hammocks of my childhood were scratchy or the plastic ones made me sweat....this one is great!
i used to live in hunucma, yucatan, mexico and slept in hammocks instead of beds and it was so comfortable, i miss it!! i have no room to have a full hammock but a hammock chair is perfect!! this chair is made differently than the hammocks i used in yucatan, thicker threads, but still so comfy and hangs really well.. it is easy to get in and out of and lots of room to be comfortable.. i just put it up today, my daughter and i love it.. and it arrived super fast from merida which is awesome, so glad i found this company!!
The cotton cord is soft, as advertised. The chair is comfortable, as advertised. The color is exactly what I wanted, and it's a fantastic product, but the speed at which it arrived was absolutely amazing. The product is made in Mexico, and carried via FedEx, and it arrived at my door less than thirty six hours from point of purchase. The hammock was shipped from the seller within four hours of purchase, cleared customs in Miami overnight, and was delivered to Fort Campbell, KY the following afternoon.
The hammock chair is really, really, comfortable, with thick cords that don't bite in to exposed skin like a lot of the cheaper hammocks, and at six foot two and two hundred pounds I still have plenty of hammock left when I put my feet up and lean my head back. The spreader bar is generous, and I don't feel trapped on the sides like in a traditional swing chair. The single point loop at the top is perfect since the chair can be spun to face any direction, no matter where my eighteen month old is running and playing in the yard.
Revived my hammock chair swing just a few days ago, I can’t say how long it will hold up throughout time but it looks and feels well designed and constructed. I don’t plan to take it down and put it away until winter. If it last the summer I’m fine with that for $49 I will buy another if needed. I feel like I have already gotten my money’s worth because I have been in it every evening after work for the past few days! It’s extremely comfortable and goes very well with the colors in my backyard.

Also the Shipping rocks! Yes it appears expensive at %19.99, but when you order it on Monday Night and it is delivered via FedEx straight to your front door my 10am on Wed. It is worth every penny. It ships from the Yucatan, and I am amazed it could get here sooo quickly!

I already have a cotton chair and wanted another one/type for my home. So I decided on the Mayan Chair Hammock and ordering from the Seller (Hammock Rada) was completely hassle free and so pleasant. Within hours of my order they contacted me with the Fedex shipping number and the item arrived (ordered Friday and arrived Monday) well wrapped and in great condition. Granted I would have liked to chose the colors, but that's just a minor point and totally doesn't detract from the chair's comfort and durability. You will need to buy hardware to hang the chair up, an eyescrew or eyebolt (I used the screw since I couldn't find an eyebolt long enough) as well as a carabiner for easy on/off when the weather turns inclement. But you can get the optional spring and swivel hook. I did get both and my chair is the perfect height from the beam it's hanging off of. The chair is well woven and it's easy to get in and out of. My 4 yo loves to swing in it, as does my 17 mo. You can literally tuck your entire body (legs straight out) into this chair. It looks deceptively small (in depth) but it does stretch out and you won't be able to fall out - meaning the weaving is tight and hands/feet can't get through the openings unless you force them through. It's actually more comfortable than the other cotton swing chair that I got and I prefer sitting on this one. In fact, I'm seriously debating whether I should get another and just try to Craigslist the cotton one instead. For the price, it's a great chair and you feel happy just swinging in it. Great service and great product, this is what makes me happy to shop through Amazon.

The colors seem a bit off from the photo, as the fabric is more of a tan color, as well as the bar, but I actually think it's an improvement over the photo shown (besides the model, of course).
It is a chair that is large enough for a 6' man to have complete extended leg support. However, it is a chair, which means you'll be sitting up. If you want to lay down, then get a regular hammock.
When no one is in it, the chair naturally folds up, so it's no thicker than its bar.
There is support on the sides, but not too much. You don't feel like you're in a bag or anything.
Overall, for $59, it's a great buy.
Third time buying these I can’t get enough of them! These are soft and beautiful really comfortable and last a lifetime of stored indoors.

This is a great escape tool, there is room to lay back with a good book, glass of wine and a little piece of Heaven occurs. Everyone that comes to visit always runs for the hammock, even calms my grandchildren. It appears very sturdy, the only thing wrong with this is I don't get to use it enough.
