I was looking for something to hang a hammock chair from the ceiling of my porch. Most hooks I found supported 300 lb which is enough but I like to have margin for error so I like that this one has 1000lb capacity.
The install was easy, drill two holes and screw in lag bolts. Everything looks and feels like good quality. I would buy this again.
This item was definitely worth the purchase. A hammock chair we purchased came with a simple bracket and chain to hang, but was narrower compared to the large flat surface of this that bolts snugly to the anchor point. The 360 degree swivel is also great so that the chair is not fixed to facing only one direction.
My first order was returned due to package damage. Then my second order came without bolts and clip, this is why I gave it 2 stars for installation. Would have been nice to get what I paid for.

I'm using this for my new hammock chair and it's working great
Easy to install.There is nothing wrong with our screws.When installed, the chair rotated slightly and sat down in the wrong direction.Easy fix!!Turn the clip/hook so the hammock chair is facing forward (great from a decorative point of view).So far, it has passed the test of a 200-pound man and a toddler trying to swing it as a playground piece of equipment (it's lifted, but nervous moms only put swings on outdoor playgrounds!).I absolutely recommend it!!
