I bought one of these with a heavy duty strap to use for a swing chair on a tree. This thing is built like a tank and so far after heavy usage in one season, looks exactly brand new. I know it's hard to get excited by a swivel hook, but this thing looks like it's going to last forever.
I exchanged a similar swivel hook from Hammaka for this one. The Hammaka was advertised to be solid steel, but it wore half way through the metal in less than two months (my guess is it was zinc, not steel). This hook is made from stainless steel and appears to be made considerably better; it mildly attracts a magnet, as some types of stainless steel will do (conversely the Hammaka did NOT attract a magnet, which means it is not steel). The components fit together well, and appear symmetrical, unlike the Hammaka which was poorly fitted (at the swivel) and molded poorly. Given the relatively few choices for this type product, this one is a clear winner thus far. If it happens to wear out over a short time, I will be sure to update my review.
Its a good solid swivel but I used a strap for hanging my hammock chair so the strap will end up twisting first before the swivel gets a chance to turn. Not the company's fault, I just didn't think about it. But, If I were to put up a chair hammock with hooks and eyelets that do not twist/swivel then I would recommend this item and I have no intention of returning it as I am sure I'll find a better use for it in the future.
Great swivel hook. Worked great for my hanging chair!
I had purchased two outdoor hammock chair stands for hammock chairs we had. Only problem, is the chairs would swing around like crazy during the wind and also the sun was fading them. Then you had the problem, if only facing one direction. Bought these swivel hooks and they work great... Once the chairs were mounted, the hooks were strong and able to let the chairs move with ease. Also, it now allows us to easily dismount the chairs when done.

Good sturdy clip. Using it with a hammock style chair on the back patio. Only draw back is the clip size was a little small for what I am using it for. Had to "coax" the hanger loop into it. Doubt I will ever be able to get it back out if I have to.
Absolutely what I expected. An awesome product
Bought to use for a hanging swing chair/hammock. Seems very durable and works well. Time will tell how well it holds up but I think it will last a very long time.
Swivels, what more can you say about them. The spring-loaded clip in the front is difficult to work with if it's raining or slippery out. Otherwise, these are good to set and forget.
Works fine, no rust after being outside for one summer and fall.
