Bliss Hammocks Zero Gravity Chair with Canopy and Side Tray, Terracotta, 26" Wide

Bliss Hammocks Zero Gravity Chair with Canopy and Side Tray, Terracotta, 26" Wide

Bliss Hammocks Zero Gravity Chair with Canopy and Side Tray, Terracotta, 26

I had previously struggled for a few weeks with the same manufacturer's gravity free rocker model, which was cumbersome to open up and fold (I put it away each day after use) and, worse yet, its locking system didn't work and the chair would not maintain a reclined position. (After I contacted Bliss about this they sent me a tool to adjust the locking system but it didn't help.) The new chair cost me (gulp) more than double the previous one but it does what it's supposed to do. It sets up and folds very easily. At about 30 pounds, it's a little heavy to move around, but this 89-y-o guy can handle it. It's quite comfortable in any position -- I like it fully reclined and it holds its position. The sun shade is useful but for extra protection from the sun I drape a towel over it and clip it to the sides on windy days. The little side table fits easily into place. The chair is well made, well designed, and quite attractive. I notice that for some reason the price depends on the color of the material. Fortunately for me, the sand color that I like best is also at the lowest price.

I am 306 lbs. and have a 48" waist. This chair is comfortable and sturdy enough for my size. It is wide enough, with room to spair.

They provide tools to adjust tension for kicking back, but I found it perfect out of the box.

PROS
Comfortable for big men
Sturdy construction
Quality materials

CONS
While in the transition to fully reclined, I can feel the crossbars under my thighs. However, it is not painful.
Angle of chair seat, while not reclined, is steep. Higher at knees than one's buttocks. But not entirely uncomfortable.
Bungees connectors are dangerously sharp

Great chair! We bought 2 and absolutely love them. The side table is of generous size; both of mine are not as pictured. Each has 2 cup holders with 2 holders for cell phone, book, etc. The canopy works nicely, too. Great when you need it and easy to flip over to the back side and snap down when you don't need it. The pillow is removable and movable up or down. And this is definitely a wide chair. All chairs of this type and quality are heavy; this one is no different. But we still plan to take ours to the beach!

What a nice way to wind down from a long day! I ordered two, and my husband and I like to kick back on our shaded deck and watch our two Aussies run in the yard. The only drawback? No lumbar support. When I am reclined, my lower back is arched and uncomfortable. I simply roll a towel and tuck it behind my back. Just wanted to mention this to those folks who suffer from back or hip problems.

I LOVE this chair! Got it Saturday and had people over on Sunday. Everyone loved this chair! In fact, one couple is ordering it! It's made very well and has some nice features: head rest pillow, comfortable support arms, locking mechanism, good width (didn't need the extra wide), and love the attachable tray for drinks. I wanted something on my patio that would be comfortable to read and nod off for a little nap, but did not want to take up a lot of space with a chaise lounge. It is very very comfortable. Love that this folds up nicely and fits inside a vinyl cover to prevent rust and wear. So, I have to add that my husband loved this chair so much that I had to order a second one! Love it!

Description

Modeled after the NASA-recognized zero-gravity position, the position naturally assumed by astronauts in space, our recliner leans further back and locks into position, reducing pressure on your spine, relieving muscle tension, and improving circulation.

I have waited to thoroughly test this recliner/lounger before submitting a review, and it has met my every expectation. So many of the other products offered have been reported as flimsy. Not this one! It is a solidly constructed frame of tubular steel. It adjusts to an infinite number of positions, all positions can be locked with the handy thumb toggles. Very comfortable unit. Highly recommended!

Best Gravity Free chair ever! Did a lot of research and this was the best one I found online. It is longer in length for the average person. Husband is 6' tall and it works well. The side unit is great for two drinks and a phone/book. The sunshade is awesome! It reclines for a easy nap too. The quality of the material and workman ship is outstanding. I would buy this again! I wish my gravity chair was this good!

This is the third Blass Hammock chair I’ve purchased. And, the first one where the canopy had to be installed by the customer. It was manufacturer-installed on the other chairs. If I’d known it was manual, I would have purchased a different option. It’s not that the canopy is hard to install, but I hate installing ANYTHING and I never did get as tightened as it should be.

Word of warning - remove the table before you fold/unfold the chair. I KNEW this was necessary. But, I must have had a senior moment unfolding my chair last week. Instead of realizing the table was still attached, I forced the chair to unfold when it seemed to be stuck. Naturally, this destroyed the little table. Totally my fault, and I know replacement tables are available on Amazon for about $10, so I’ll get another.

My spouse wanted this, so I bought it primarily for that reason. It's a great chair, and I wanted to put it in the living room for daily use; but spouse said, "No." If you have a deck or something where you can leave it set up that would be best because - due to quality materials - it's heavier than those flimsy chairs to it's heavier to lift around. I especially like the canopy - the main reason I bought this over any other chair - because, while I enjoy being outside, I don't want to bake in the sun; and I like to read without being blinded. The little cup rest area is also a positive - a place to put a cell, cup, glasses, or book. If you are looking for a good durable outdoor chair this is it. The only negative, beside weight in moving, is that the position locks - which are just pieced of plastic that work with friction - don't really lock you in place; but it's okay. Not really a problem. You will just tend to drift out of position, and reach out to retighten.

The price is good, the chair is great! I had never sat in a zero gravity chair before and it feels great, the 26 inch wide seat fits perfectly. I don’t care for the locking mechanism. I don’t see a time that I would need to use it, I don’t rock back and forth on it. When I first get into the chair, the lock catches a little. The color is a nice subtle green. The pillow is nice but could be softer. The canopy really works to shade the sun.
