I've never written a review for amazon, but I have never felt the need to before today...
We ordered 4 Royal Oak tree swing straps for my parents to bring when they visited us abroad. And I made a big mistake with my purchase. I completely misread the very clear explanation that stated that it was a SINGLE strap and not a double... and for $8 more, I could have had the set (which is what we needed). Even more so... since I ordered 4 products, there was also a 15% discount that I also missed because I didn't read everything through - again, my fault.
I contacted Royal Oak (who sent me the funniest email after I made the purchase), explained the situation and my stupidity... and they agreed to send me the 4 straps I needed at the cost it would have been had I not misread and been so silly. I was completely to blame and Royal Oak... well, simply put... they treated me like royalty. :)
NOT TO FORGET TO MENTION... we've been using the 4 Royal Oak straps for 2 of our swings and they have been completely wonderful. Very strong, and they don't move at all. Minus my mistake, this has been the best buying experience I have ever had on amazon.

I purchased this along with a Royal Oak 40" saucer swing. I had a professional tree service install the straps and my swing since my limb was upwards of 15' from the ground. The tree contractors commented that these straps are safe for a tree, unlike simply wrapping a rope around a limb, because they will expand as the tree grows. The straps are exceptional quality. Due to the height of the limb, one strap is hung from the tree and e, and then the second strap is attached to the other, for one long strap to hang our swing. The swing arrived earlier than predicted and we were delighted. It was very easy to assemble. The instructions are clear, easy to follow, and include photos. It comes with a wrench to tighten lugs. No other tools are needed. The steel rods are threaded into the outside edge of the swing fabric and one end of the rod slides into the end of the other rod. So before threading the rods check to be sure that they are aligned so that there is an end that is smaller in diameter going into the end of the next rod which has a slightly larger diameter. The fabric is strong and porous so water can drain off. As you can see from the photos all materials are good quality and heavy duty. We also bought the Tree Swing Straps that comes with a spinner. Photo included. We bought this swing for our grandchildren to play on when they visit and we have a perfect Red Maple tree branch from which to hang it. Looking forward to some fun times. This saucer swing is a big hit with the grandkids! I also bought the straps with the spinner carabiner so the kids can swing and spin, which they gleefully do! I put the swing together fairly easily myself until the last junction. You will need help for the final joint. I really like that the swing is made in the USA! It is well made with sturdy materials and the metal supports are cushioned with foam noodles for a soft ride. I like this swing for myself too, so I think it will remain popular for years to come. The swing comes with a protective cover, but I still bring it inside when we are done playing on it at the end of the day to extend it's usable life. I highly recommend this swing to get the kids outside for interactive fun!
So far it's good. My 200 lb husband has been trying his luck on our kid's new disc swing and I swear he's going to break the tree limb, but this strap seems unfazed. We attach this to the rope that comes with the swing. Works great!

I only used one strap... didn't know if I wanted one or two at the time of purchase and this was the best deal. My kids love the swing too! Also, I love it! I can chill under my tree without a care in the world, reading!

We bought a hammock pod for our youngest granddaughter who spends a lot of time with us and hung it from the ramada in our back yard. My husband was happy to hang it in the full confidence that there was no way the strap would fail. He refused to hang another pod that came with a flimsy-looking rope. Since my older granddaughter has a larger multi person hangout pod at home she was happy to share her sister's smaller pod when they visit together.
This is a great accessory to take out swing camping with us! It is solid and held my daughter and I both (about 250 lbs of human) ;). I am so stinking excited to camp! It is small, and compacted size make it an excellent choice to travel with. The swing we use is a netted, circular, thin swing that takes up very little space.
