Overall it is nice and SIMPLE. ASSEMBLY RECOMMENDS 2 PEOPLE TO PUT TOGETHER, to fully be able to hold the stand up and tighten the lower nuts for the base. THERE MAY BE STRUGGLE FOR UPPER SCREWS they took 5 minutes to get them lined up and screwed in bc the drilled holes aren't done well. It took me about 15 MINUTES TO ASSEMBLE by myself.
This is ONLY THE HAMMOCK STAND IT SAYS IT PLAIN AS DAY ON THE LISTING so dont try and but if you're looking for everything together.
Personally but it together by myself after carrying this 60 lb box up on the elevator and around my building to my apartment (They didn't deliver to the proper location that was put down NOT A SELLER ISSUE of course).
It is DELIVERED IN MANUFATUERERS BOX so the BOX CAN TAKE A LITTLE DAMAGE causing POTENTIAL SCRATCHES ALTHOUGH THERE IS PACKING FOAM INSIDE THE BOX.
DEPENDING ON THE HAMMOCK CHAIR YOU GET for this stand it I have a Blissun Hanging Hammock Chair, the chair has 2 FEET FROM GROUND and from the little rise of the c theres about a 1' 4" from the bottom of the hammock to the stand when someone's in it, it goes down to about 1 foot. NO EXTRA SPRING NEEDED FOR DISTANCE! ALL AROUND IS ABOUT 4' 8" ON ALL SIDES. And about 6' 4" tall.
AS OPPOSED TO SWINGING IN IT YOU'RE BEST JUST SITTING The wielded part on top that holds the hook and hammock seems to COREODE EASY so if you swing your just slowly breaking off the metal that's holding up your chair. As well as if it is not screwed down the FULL BOTTOM BASE WILL MOVE SLIGHTLY IF YOU SWING (this is indoors ON CARPET).
Other comments complain it breaks easy and that it isn't super quality but they were likely swinging in the hammock as opposed to sitting in the hammock chair. Some people seem to not have received instructions I have but either way it is simple to put together.
Overall if you want to swing I'd purchase a high quality stand because you get what you pay for and these are only hammock chairs and not actual tree hammocks so swinging isn't expected.
All parts were included, you only need a hammer if you put the hammock on a hanging hook, I'd you put the hammock on the hook then hang it on the stand it is easier.
Sturdy and does what it says. It was easy to put together and take apart at the end of the season. They only issue to be aware of is the lower tube is hollow and collected water over the course of the spring/summer. We turned it over to dump out and the water was very rusty inside. My husband will be drilling a hole into the bottom of the pipe so hopefully we wont have issues with this again next year.
