I'm happy with this chair. The stick across the top is pretty wide, so I didn't feel as scrunched as I feared. It seems well-made. Be aware that it doesn't have its own frame, so it really is more like a hammock than a structured chair like it appears in the picture.
For hanging it, I recommend just going to Home Depot and getting a big eye screw, a small length of chain, and a couple hooks. You should be able to hang it for under $10.
At first I didn't like this at all. I couldn't figure out how the cushions could be used to make it comfortable; it was just a bunch of lumps. Then I tried it without the cushions and it is fantastic! You just sink into it like a hammock except you're more upright and you swing or rock or just sit still with your feet on a nearby chair. It's on our screened porch and many evenings I sit in it reading or talking. We had the men who built our porch install it so I don't know if it's hard or easy, but I don't think they needed any extra hardware.
Bought two and love them! I installed one in each of the kids' rooms, and these swings have become lovely resting/reading/calming down spots for them. Not much space is needed for adequate swinging. The swings are very durable and easily hold an average sized man, as well. We bought a ceiling hardware kit and installed them appropriately for safe swinging.
Best chair. Hang from the rafters and play tug o war with the pup....great way to relax and wear out the pup at the same time. Great quality very sturdy and comfortable.
Swing is nice and of good materials. Only thing was I ordered blue and got red.
