Worked very well on a cot in Nicaragua, but has a solid floor so would be fine on the ground. My travel companions had other types of mosquito tents and commented that they would buy mine if they had it to do again. Easy to assemble, and more compact that others (like the ones that pack in a circle) for packing in a suitcase. Seems solidly built. Very pleased with purchase.
Bought tent to take to Puerto Rico on a mission trip and it was great. Protected against mosquitoes, roaches and other bugs. A twin air mattress fits perfectly in this screened tent.
I highly recommend this item for anyone who camps or goes on mission trips. It folds up nicely into a bag with its foldable poles.
Got these for my son and myself for Scout camp. They were just enough larger than the cots to fit without falling off to one side or the other. They're basically mini tents and kept all the bugs out. It was nice to be able to leave the flaps of the canvas tent open for airflow and not have to worry about mosquitos.
While there are pop-up mosquito netting sets, the nice thing about this tent is that it folds down to something that you could pack in a suitcase, in case you ever need to travel with it.
Wow, I finally got to setting up the bug barrier. Took me about 5 minutes to do and it fits around my twin intex inflatable bed perfectly. I love it. Heading to Puerto Rico in less than 50 days , so the close knit netting should keep the bugs at bay.
I used this for a mission trip. It is light-weight, and didn't take much room in my luggage. It was easy to put together and my air mattress fit in there well. The only negatives would be that it wasn't as easy to fit back into the storage bag after I was done, and it was not easy to keep the "door" open when I wanted to. A hair clip was a quick fix to keep it open though. Also I was able to hang my flash light and headlamps from the clamps for light at night. Great value for the price!

I bought this for my daughter's trip to Myanmar. She needed a mosquito net and liked the feature of having an alone-standing tent net so she didn't have to attach it to anything with a rope. Also, it is completely enclosed so no bugs will get in! It was SO easy to put up and incredibly small and lightweight. It will easily fit in her carry-on bag and none of the other options we looked at would - i.e. the pop up type - this has tent poles which are connected with stretchy bands and fold up very well. Perfect, and a great price.
So far, so good, using it on top of a small single bed, it hangs over on all 4 sides but still stands high enough not to touch me when I am zipped in & no bug bites! Love that I can sleep bug free, it is freestanding & fits in my carry on, the 3 main reasons I bought it!
Can use as a tent. Perfect size fir one. Sets up fairly easy. Durable and fits in luggage. The walls are net so you would need a tarp to cover it for privacy and shelter from the rain.
My son used this for camp and loved it. Some kids brought hammocks, and we chose this tent. The kids that brought hammocks woke up with mosquito bites, while this tent kept my son bug free/bite free. It was easy to assemble and disassemble, I had him practice before he left for camp but he did have a friend that helped him. The only thing he would recommend is a mat to sleep on. He just used his sleeping bag. He was very happy with it... and I was too. Did the job!!
