I have had this for a couple of months now, it sits on my screened in porch. It was pretty simple to put together, but did take two people as it was kinda heavy. It's really sturdy. My only complaint is, it could be taller. I bought it to go with a chair hammock I already had and I sit pretty low to the ground. I am not sure if a different hammock would sit higher. It's not uncomfortable but sometimes my butt does touch the bottom bar. I am sure they make it this height so that it can fit inside the house without being to tall. And it clearly says the height on the description, so it was my bad. But I didn't see any that were taller either. But overall it does its job.
My husband just set it up. Very fast assembly. All parts were there and directions were clear. Shipping was pretty fast too, it came within a week. We only had to adjust one thing.... Which was very simple to do. We had to adjust our hammock on the top otherwise our butts would be dragging on the ground. All chair hammocks have that adjustable feature which brings the hammock higher off the ground. Use it people! It's not the hammock stand, it's your chair that needs adjustment! Overall, I'm very satisfied with this sturdy piece. Excited I finally get to hang my chair I got from Mexico! And my mini dachshund likes it too!
my husband bought this for me as a gift. i was really leary at first it would be stong enough to hold me... im not hugh but have a lil meat on me. i've been using it for a week so far so good... very sturdy and would highly recommend it to anyone on thinking of getting it. i put in my living room and fits nicely and dosent take up much room
Purchased last week. Arrived a day early and just set up. A few points of interest. 1) If you are looking for a chair stand for the gravity swing chairs (AKA: Ez swing, SoCo Swing) this will work. I have tried 3 other stands and they were not "shaped" correctly. This stand does take up more room that I would have wanted but it works. 2)If you are installing on a hard surface that might scratch up I would suggest that you put a rug/mat under it while you install it. I have a stained concrete porch and scratched it up a bit. Also, once installed you may want to cut a rubber mat and install under the entire four leg area to reduce tipping and moving (home supply store in the tile area they sell the non-slick mats that they cut off the bolt to your size) 3) The instructions are WRONG. I have posted a pic of the instructions. They have listed the incorrect Bolt in step 1. Also, do NOT secure the bolt and nut as you want the "hole" for the post to slide in. If you tighten it then the post will not fit. Also, in step 2 it is imperative that the C portion that sticks out is over the shorter 2 legs. If not the post will not slip in and fit on the first bolt. Once first post is in; tighten the 2 long bolts using both tools provided. If these are not tight it will cause it to tip easier. Step 3 of the diagram - it was a little like a product made in "china". Not the best hole match up, but it did fit with some muscle. However, the A and B posts are just off a little at the joint but it is tight and secure. Hope this helps.
It's a stand. For a hammock chair. Easy to assemble. Solidly built. Light enough weight to move the chair around, yet strong enough to feel like it's doing what it's supposed to do. Holes in the base in case one might need to anchor the stand.

Perfect for our needs. Being a family of four with kids with sensory issues, we hung a hammock chair from this and ut holds me and a child and we can play and sway. And the price was perfect.
Sturdy base, I was able to assemble this myself pretty easily (for context im 180 lbs and 5'9 with clumsy habits) but I do recommend having someone on standby. I haven't had anyone threaten to break it so far and it deals with a fair amount of use and movement. Everyone asks about my hammocks I always tell them I got the bases from here.
Easy to put together. Easy to move around. Love it with my hammock chair. Sorry I waited so long to purchase. It's my favorite place to relax now.
I bought this stand to house my Swingasan I ordered from another company. It was easy to assemble, and seems solid for regular use. The only drawback is that it tends to creek, and squeak when you move in the swing. (Why I only gave it 4 stars) Perhaps some lubricant application may work, If I can locate the source.
Follow up review, have been using it for about 3 weeks and very solid and we'll made. It is heavy, but except for the height, it really is space friendly, much more so than even a folding hammock stand. Great seller, great product!!
