I am very happy with this comfortable chair. The reclining position is the most relaxing I have found in any piece of furniture. It came fully assembled and is light enough for me to move around. Every thing about just seems very easy. I am using it indoors -really in place of getting a more expensive, upholstered , bulky recliner.
I'm a small person (5'1") and this chair fits me well; a much taller person would have legs hanging over the end. I have more than enough head room.
The armrests are hard on bony elbows after a while, but one can add padding if desired/needed.
I have not been able to "lock" the chair in an intermediate position; the lock doesn't seem to hold well, or maybe I'm not turning the knob far enough.
These are solidly built -- they have plenty of heft and weight to them. They are VERY comfortable to sit back and relax in. No open ends so water can't get into them and rust them from the inside out. The ONLY thing I don't like about these is the lack of a locking mechanism to keep the chair in the desired position when reclining. Instead of a catch or ratchet-type lock, they have clamps that tighten to help hold the chair in the selected position. On the plus side, this allows you complete freedom on how to adjust the chair. On the downside, larger guys, like myself, will find it doesn't clamp tight enough to keep the chair from reclining more if your weight shifts. Other than that, I am SO glad I purchased these. They really are comfortable. Looking forward to enjoying more time in my backyard this summer for sure!
Really enjoy this relaxing chair. We had 2 previous zero gravity chairs that cost 4x as much. The only difference is this chair has a slimmer width then the more expensive chairs, but definitely worth the price. Will be buying more for the lake
No, this isn't the best chair I have ever owned. That honor goes to my trusty (indoor) recliner which took six months and a hefty investment to settle on. it is the best outdoor chair I ever bought, though. Sturdy, very comfortable, easy to adjust and get into and out of. I almost dozed of in it the first day I owned it. And it's a steal for the price. Will I use it inside? Ummm... no, but it'll sure be getting a lot of use on the patio and it'll be going with me to the beach every time I go.
One hint- be ready to race for it when you have company if you just buy one. I'm gonna put a sign on mine saying, "Buy Your Own."
Winter day and 70 degrees. Checked out the chair on the backporch in the sunshine. Gave it about a 30 minute nap with my feet in the air. Tends to let you snore...or least that's what my wife said.
Would like it wider and I need a cushion in my lumbar area but great for napping.

My wifes old gravity chair deteriorated so much the cloth ripped wide open. She recently went into surgery and was going to spend a lot of time home and wanted to relax outside, so she wanted another. I looked at these and saw that these were made of different material and took a chance. She LOVES it, and even takes it camping with us. I got the black one for myself, and it is nice, but being a bigger guy, it is just a little narrower than the chairs I usually use, so when I sit down, I usually graze a hip on one side or the other. That's not the chairs fault, but I do wish it was just a bit wider.
Ordered chair post hip replacement surgery as it was recommended by a friend who underwent the surgery and said a zero gravity chair was THE only comfy chair for recovery. It was truly a relief to finally be able to site comfortably for more than 10 minutes. It is a bit hard to get in and out, and in the first week post surgery, you may need assistance. I should have ordered it PRIOR to surgery, but it took me 2+ weeks of being very uncomfortable POST surgery to realize that the purchase was more than warranted. The color of mine is solid beige/taupe, nice looking, with black cording and frame. While the arm and lock mechanisms are plastic, it does not bother me because if I choose to use it outdoors in the future, those parts will not heat up in high temps. The arms/locks are also very easy to clean. Great value. You can "lock" it in at any angle--there are no metered intervals for the locking mechanism. No instructions were included regarding how to secure the locks, how to clean fabric/parts, or how to order parts if needed.

UPDATE: I went and bought one for myself, also. I have never been able to fall asleep in any kind of chair but I can in this one! Very comfortable and also good for reading. Only one problem.....my dog will try to jump into it before I have a chance to sit down. She loves it! Maybe they should make a smaller version for dogs.....
I brought this b/c I had rotator cuff surgery and needed to sleep upright for a while afterwards. The reviews is what made me purchase this...plus the price. my other option was a lazboy type chair for like hundreds of dollars! this worked great. It was comfortable to sit and sleep in. just covered up with a blanket. My shoulder is fine now and I'm back to laying flat, but this is a nice comfy chair that still gets used when needed.
Chair is very comfortable to use but sometimes struggles to hold its position. We use it to sit in our shaded patio, watching the sunset over a glass of red wine. If you can picture yourself doing the same, then this is the chair for you. Chair is also comfortable enough to lounge in for an extended amount of time. Overall am happy with our purchase
