Classic Accessories Montlake FadeSafe Brazilian Hammock, Heather Indigo Multi-Stripe

Loved the look. Great fabric. Too long for our stand so I had to return.

comes up a little high on the sides when in the hammock.

Love the look and quality but decided on a hammock with a spreader bar for a more open feel.

This is for my husband he’s waiting until all the rain stops before he puts it up. Planted two trees next to each other 14 years ago can’t wait to put it up. Excellent quality

Love it!

We currently own a wood bar and rope hammock that is a few years old. We keep it outdoors in the spring through fall, and in the summer the sprinklers water it every day. It is looking a little rough, which is to be expected after daily use for that long.

This replacement hammock is a different style. Brazilian hammocks are more like cocoons that wrap you up, unlike flat patio hammocks. Brazilian style are better for naps, while patio style are better for tanning. I personally prefer the patio style, but I feel like this style will hold up better due to less sun exposure. This hammock is super comfortable for lounging, or a nap. Two adults fit perfectly.

The fabric color looks the same in person as it does on a computer. A lot of outdoor fabrics fade over time with sun exposure, so I will update this in 2018 with how it looks then. The loop ends of the hammock appear to be rope, but there is actually metal underneath. It was easy to set up with our current stand, but we did need to get a longer chain than what was currently on our stand.

Overall, I think this is a more sturdy replacement to the all-rope hammocks. The issue for us will be whether or not it mildews with daily water exposure. If it does, I may risk seeing what happens when I put it in a washing machine (not recommended by the manufacturer), since it folds down really nicely (unlike rope hammocks).

I have 2 space-saving steel stand hammocks & LOVE them. This Montlake hammock fits them perfectly. My stands came with cotton Brazilian style hammocks. This Montlake hammock is made of polyester so if you tend to leave your hammock outside, this would be a good choice. It is a little more warm to be in because it doesn’t breathe like cotton but still very comfortable.

This is a Brazilian style which means it cradles your body & the sides can come up & over you, depending on how you use it. My husband & I use 1 hammock together all the time - we have great conversations while sitting in the hammock :)

This hammock holds up to 450 pounds (make sure your stand is also rated for that weight). It should NOT be put in a washing machine but can be hosed off if it gets dirty. The colors are beautiful & true to the photo on the Amazon page.

I own 2 of these:
Vivere Double Hammock with Space-Saving Steel Stand, Tropical
You can also purchase a stand without a hammock:
Vivere UHS9 Universal Space-Saving Steel Hammock Stand, 9-Feet, Charcoal

We have an older hammock frame that we used for several years. As it goes with things, in the beginning, we took it down every day, after a couple of years, we left it on the frame all summer long. Move ahead to now and the older canvas hammock began to fade and get a bit threadbare. We installed this as a direct replacement for our old one. It fit right in. I believe it may be the same manufacturer, I am unable to check because its been at least 5 years. I bring it up because it feels identical in quality and comfort. If we commit to taking this one down, I expect this to last 10 years at least.

Pros:
+ Great construction
+ Direct replacement for old hammock in our frame
+ Comfortable
+ Sturdy

Cons:
- Ours did not come with the metal eyelets for the loops. I had our old ones available so it was not a big deal.

I love almost everything about this hammock. It’s huge and can easily accommodate two adults. I’m a grandfather and have also read books (Calvin and Hobbes, if you must know) to four grandchildren, ages 2 through 4, at once in this hammock. It is also very sturdy and durable. There is a water-resistant coating on the fabric, which prevents it from getting soaked in a summer downpour. The color is also very nice. I keep my hammock on a huge redwood deck in our backyard, and it looks very nice. I really love this product and recommend it highly.
My only slight criticism (and I emphasize that it is a slight one) is that the waterproof coating does not quite give the softness of canvas hammocks I have used in the past. But even with this little bone to pick, I would choose this model any day over any other I have purchased and used in the past.

This is a wonderful, sturdy hammock with enough room for a good-sized adult. We ordered the hammock stand from the same company found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZXXW95X/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER. The hammock and the stand make a really nice addition to any outside area. I haven't noticed any fading or wear, but the hammock is under a covered area. The set is super comfortable. I can't tell you how many books have been read or naps taken in this hammock over the past summer and fall. I am reminded of days on the beach in California. Now if I could just rid my yard of the mosquitoes. Ugh!
