I bought a hand-made hammock chair in Costa Rica something like 10 years ago and always wanted to get a stand for it, but just kept putting it off. It's been great to finally be able to use the chair, it's very comfy. I chose this particular stand because I'm a big guy and I didn't want whatever stand I used to collapse under my weight. This stand takes my weight and barely even flexes.
The instructions that came with the stand were useless, but it consists of only a few pieces and they only fit together one way, so it was very easy to assemble. I was able to put it together by myself, but if you have a helper, it'll go easier.
One thing I didn't realize from looking at the pictures online is that the main arch of the stand also curves a bit to the left (when looking at the stand head-on). This places whatever chair you hang from this stand a little off-center, but that allows the chair to swing more freely without bumping into the lower part of the stand. The base is wide enough that I'm not worried about the stand tipping over, though with some aggressive rocking in certain directions, I did notice one of the legs rocking off the ground.
Having owned both, I can confidently say that this stand is much better than its cheaper counterpart here on amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Giantex-Hammock-Frame-Stand-Construction/dp/B00XC4Y1OW/).
Why? I owned the other one and it snapped off at the weak point, where the metal attaches to the X on the bottom of the other one. This stand's design is much better, distributing the load across the entire back curved C section. So it won't SNAP AND FALL ON YOU LIKE THE OTHER ONE. O.o
In addition, because of its design, it creaks a LOT LESS than the cheaper version, so it's worth it just for that. You bought a hammock chair to relax - hearing metal groan because you're in it makes the entire experience a lot less enjoyable.
Their customer service is fantastic too - I had a problem with a part and they shipped me another one with no trouble at all. I'd recommend them to anyone.
When they say it's heavy believe them. This is easy to assemble the instructions are basic. Tools are not craftsman but they work. A little scuffing of the finish in one area not a big issue. Like the look and I think it is more stable then other C stands.
Perfect, Works like a Charm, I'm 6ft 1 in & weight 316 lbs, And have no problem at all. Would recommend to any one who want a great swing holder.
Bought it for my wife and she loves it. Also simple to assemble and disassemble for those rainy months.

Absolutely what they described. This is a superior designed item. Heavy duty.
Very Strong and Well Made.
Heavy duty material, but a very large footprint. Looks great, but my chair sits a little low in it. Double check your chair's specs before you buy.
Very sturdy! I can use it indoors or out.
heavy duty
