I bought this to replace a broken swing for my kids. From the minute we hung this, it's gotten at least 8 hours of use per day. They play pretend in it, swing high, and relax in it. My sensory kiddos really like the enclosed and cocooned feeling they can get by pulling up the back. The neighbors come over just to swing in it. When the kids go to bed, we swing outside under the stars.

As for size, we've tested the weight limit on this. No adults of any size have complained about it.

The only caveat is that this woven fabric WILL stretch with use. It breaks in similar to your jeans so expect to have to tighten the rope that it hangs from as it gets use or it will be lower than you expect. We like how soft its become with use, so it's no big deal to tighten it up.

I really wish I could love this and I did, up until it got dirty and I had to take it off to wash it. I put it back together but whenever I go to sit on it, the rope slides off one side of the wood pool to the middle and I don't feel safe sitting in it. I don't know if something got loose, but it's upsetting. Also, one of the pillows split open after I washed it.

I bought a couple of these and they are great for summer evening lounging. We have 4 of them hanging from porch swing supports off of a 6"x10" beam under our raised deck. I plan to bring them inside for the winter and possibly spraying them with a protectant for next year

I want to live in this chair. You'll need additional rope, though. This one would sit right at the ceiling otherwise. You also need to get additional supplies to hang this from the ceiling, etc.

We bought 2 of these. 1 for ourselves and 1 for the mother. Mom's was amazing, but ours was done backwards so that the 2 diagonal points were raised and the other two were not. This made it hard to sit in like an actual chair and more like a hammock. We were able to rig it like a chair through time though. Great product, even better when made correctly. ;)

We hung this from our very large tree.....we love it.
The seems for the legs could use some cushions as they can dig in if my son sits in my lap.pillows feel unnecessary. Love the colors. Great quality work.

Rewrite the review it is not sturdy and seems to be highly dangerous it has broken the wall tripping over. The swing in light shake trips off the ground and the metal legs are very dangerous for little kids

Bought for my daughter to lounge in and read. We put this on a separate hook on her swingset and she loves to just relax and chill in her new rope chair. I did also buy a swivel hook for easy on/off and swinging versatility.

Very comfortable. My grandkids LOVE it as much as I do. They are safe in it and no need to buy a kids swing for them. My 2 year old granddaughter actually will fall asleep in it. Great product!

I sat in one of these on vacation in Costa Rica and just knew I had to get one for home. It was a bit of a challenge for me to get it up but with a drill and the proper hardware, I did. Love to sit in it and read!
