Definitely weatherproof and well made. It's quite comfortable and a lovely color. The material is not a lightweight linen - which is why it's so durable - and fine for casual use. The ropes crisscross and end in thick handles - robust enough to go over hooks without worry that they will wear down. It might be too hot for 100 F+ weather but I haven't tried it yet in such sun. I keep outside in all weathers and it doesn't pick up dirt like the others.

This is the third hammock I have purchased in a year. I got my first one for Mother's Day in 2016 and love it so much that I ordered one for my husband for Father's Day.
