LOVE this swing! It is perfect for my eight-year-old who loves to sit and read! I can also fit in it so that is an added bonus. I ordered a knock-off TRX mounting bracket to attach the swing to the ceiling and I had to buy a 3’ chain to make it the right length, but all in all, it would highly recommend it!
This was a great buy. We live in a small 2 story 2bd house, and have 2 college-aged daughters who still share a room. They somehow manage to get along and not kill one another, but I've tried to make it as comfortable, fun, and efficient as possible for them. This seemed like a creative way to add a second chair in the room, but I wasn't sure it would work for our purposes because it's listed specifically for children ages 2-16. Since it's the only chair of its kind that would fit in the only available area in the room and the weight limit was sufficient, I decided to take a chance and order it. It's perfect! It fit where we needed it to, and my 200 lb 6 foot 2 inch husband tested the chair before we all sat in it. It held his weight just fine and the macrame seat didn't even seem to stretch out.
FYI, on the technical side of things- my husband is a licensed contractor and was slightly concerned about lagging into a TJI floor joist, because this is in a downstairs location with no actual solid 2x4 ceiling beams. However, we bought a heavy duty mounting kit and it worked perfectly. The spec sheet for the TJI joists specifies a maximum of 500 lbs of undermount pressure every 5 inches or something like that, so it's fine. Don't hesitate to purchase if you only have a downstairs space, or a very small area for adults who meet the weight requirement.
This chair is very well made my daughter (whose 5) loves it. I installed it under her loft bed for those rainy days, but it has become a staple in her life now from rocking her dollies to reading time it is a must. Only reason for 4 star is bc the knotting was kidda loose so it does sag a little in the middle of the seat, otherwise no complaints. Super comfy and she loves it enough said!
My daughter loves this!!! We hung it from her bedroom ceiling and the ropes are not nearly long enough to hang from a ceiling so we had to buy more rope to hang it from but it is great quality and she is very happy!
My daughter loves the hammock, she is almost two and will sit and play with her toy.
If you get a sturdy chain and hooks you can sit with them.

This is the perfect size for a child's room. I have a 6 & 2 year old, they both sit comfortably in it together. It's just so beautiful!! Best purchase i made for my daughters room.
This size is perfect for our 5 year old daughter but the swing is made out of a cotton rope so it is soft and stretches out. I actually found the exact rope at hardware store to hang it from and then we used a sturdy hook and clip in ceiling. Hanging was easy and we did it in the middle of the room because I cannot stand Dents or marks in my walls. If you hang this in a corner it will for sure hit the wall. The kids can swing in this pretty far and my daughters like to spin. I know I looked at a few more swings so might try another one because this one is now leaning forward because it has stretched.
We were going to buy our 3 year old a new chair for her birthday to place in her room but when I saw this I thought it might be a better option. She loves to read and she loves to swing and I knew this would give her more use than just a simple chair. We attached it to our ceiling beam so that it's good and sturdy. I can sit in it and hold her(145 lbs combined) and it's not budging which makes me feel secure in it's craftsmanship. We have received lots of compliments on it and she is getting a lot of use out of it which makes us happy.
I like it but I need to figure out how to get the ceiling to hold it or how to hang it. In one of the pics you can see a bunge rope I bought from Amazon someone suggested but that still wont help with figuring out how to hold it. Think it maybe a ceiling issue not swing but IDK. Hope to figure it out so it wasn't a waste of money.
Good value! My daughter (4/5 year old) LOVES this chair. Her favorite part of her new treehouse. The piping under string is now showing in a few places, but it still looks/works well.
