This hammock is unbeatable for the price! I have used an ENO Double Nest hammock for camping before and was hooked - but didn't want to spend the $100-135 for the set up. I searched the interwebs and found this Cutequeen brand. I knew going into it that I would have to upgrade the ties and that I would probably be taking off all the hideous labeling - but I was saving nearly $100 (including strap purchase and shipping) so I was ok with a little work on my end!
1. LOVE IT. The construction of the actual hammock part is on par with name brands I've tried. The colors (I have olive and red) are pretty close to the picture, though maybe a bit darker. The red is more orange - which is what I wanted. This color combo has kind of a tactical feel, which I really like.
2. WHY on EARTH did the company choose "CuteQueen Outdoors" as their brand name?!?!?! Poor translation? The labeling is ridiculous and embarrassing - even for a female user. First thing I did was unstitch and take off all of their labels (off the sack and off of each strap). It was a pain, but worth it to be able to hang without shame :P
3. The ties - Wow. As other reviewers have noted, if you buy this, you better expect to retie, or better yet, replace the rope that gathers the ends together/hooks onto the carabiner. The cord was far too large and too slick to hold a knot... and the "knots" were terribly done. I ordered some 550 mil spec paracord and looked up a how-to video and got my tactical on. 100% improvement. (I attached a photo showing the new and improved paracord knots.)
4. The straps - They are a good deal for $15 or whatever (My hammock came with and was only $35 total). They do the job and are thicker than ENO straps. These straps, however, lack the looping system that ENO straps have. It's just a bit more of a hassle to hang your hammock and get the perfect tension.
5. The carabiners - meh. They seem sturdy, but also seem cheap. They have some rough edges and I cut myself on one of them. Not the end of the world.
It does seem like there are a lot of negatives in my review... but here's the thing: had I paid a comparable price to a name brand I would have been dissatisfied. Due to it being significantly cheaper, and going into it knowing I would have to do some modifications, I am ABSOLUTELY SATISFIED and as happy as a clam. I've already recommend this to multiple people.
P.S. Dear CuteQueen, contact me if you want help re-branding :) A better name and a fresh logo could take you places.
We absolutely LOVE this hammock. Great materials. Strong fabric, tightly woven non-slip straps, 2 sturdy carabiners. No signs of wear the few times we've used it in the center of the woods. It's extremely light weight and super easy to hang. I love that it includes all the items needed to set it up anywhere.
The first time we hung it up the trees were too close together so with both our bodies we would have just grazed the surface of the snow and been in a deep V position.
Make sure you 1. set the straps AT LEAST 5' from the ground 2. Make sure that the hammock won't rest above jagged rocks or surfaces because you can never be too careful. Not because of the integrity of the hammock but the skill in which you place yourself in the hammock. Watch some YouTube hammock fails and you'll see what I mean. 3. Set them far enough apart that you won't sink in the middle. You want the hammock slacked enough to be able to form the shape of a banana not a soup bowl. 4. If more than 1 person is getting in, make sure you get in 1 at a time or else you'll both end up knocking your skulls together. 5. Use a net to drape above you during the summer. Ticks, insects, and bird droppings do fall from above to use some caution.
This seriously is the best hiking/camping/anywhere hammock I've purchased.
I'm 5'7 and 140 pounds. First time buying a hammock. I think I went a little overkill with the double size since this could very easily fit a small family. It's very long and very wide, wide enough that I can make myself into a hanging cocoon. The fabric is airy and comfortable. I chose the olive and red color, which is more dark khaki and orange, like hunting colors. It was extremely easy to set up. The straps fit nice and secure, the rope seems solid and so do the carabiners. People have complained about the name, but on this it's only written on a small tag on the pouch/bag. Overall I'm very happy with my new hammock.
I'll confess I just bought it, and have yet to use it, but my word, this thing is SURPRISINGLY ENORMOUS.
It appears very well made--good stitching , the threaded carabiners are confidence inspiring (but very heavy). All that plus decent hang straps for $14? Oh yeah!
It's a little stiffer/ scratchier than the Yukon Outfitters hammocks I've got, but I'm sure that'll smooth out with a use or two (super minor quibble). The attached stuff sack is about the same size as what you'd expect for a light-duty sleeping bag (3 or 4 times bigger than those on other hammocks I've used, maybe double what's necessary), so it's easy to pack up. Bonus points for the straps fitting in with the hammock easily.
This strikes me as a great car camping or backyard hang; it's much bigger than you'd want to use if you're travelling light or backpacking, but sometimes you just want comfort, and this'll deliver that.
The only true negative I have for this is the end-ropes' knots tied at the factory are horrible. They will fail. BUT, the rope's OK, so just retie 'em. I doubled the rope, tied an overhand knot and looped the rope through the carabiner. Simple, and safer. I also took a metal file to the rivets in the carabiners to smooth out some slightly sharp edges. They'd never cut you, but they might wear a hole in the fabric.
If my first impressions are way off base, I'll come correct the review, but I've high hopes for this thing.
The coolest hammock I have ever bought at half the price! There's some negative comments about this but come the hell on people, for the price this thing is epic! Its durable and my kids and I tested it by putting it high in the trees and I even jumped in to it from a limb. I stand 4'11 and weigh about 95. It also held my son who's 5'5 and 120. Its a rayon or nylon type material so yes there are some stray lines but so are there on shimmering curtains you buy from Walmart with out complaint which I will add also come from China. Stop trashing this thing because it was so cool I reordered two more! And guess what? It arrived before some american bought things that I still have yet to receive. Will definitely order more for the rest of family :)

This hammock is so large that it comfortably held my 6'6" husband, our 10 year old and myself. We took it camping and had to call dibs because everyone wanted a turn to lounge!
You can use it like a chair to read and join the conversation, lay long ways and nap, when the evening got cool you can wrap the sides around you to keep off the chill.
The nylon straps are so easy to wrap around a tree. Set up took moments and you don't have to pull out a toolbox to get swinging.
Most definitely one of my favorite Amazon purchases! We love it!
Best hammock I have ever owned. I bought this to replace my ENO and it is just as good. Comes with tree straps that are good quality and great length. Bag is a little big, but makes it where you can hold books and snacks easily while enjoying yourself. I have spent 10 or more hours in this hammock studying on campus and have not had anything bad to say about it. I also put two 130 pound people in it felt very safe, definitely recomend.
Love the hammock -- it's as good as ENO. Same material, same stitching, same sewn-on stuffsack. Different branding. $15 instead of $69. No brainer. This is the second CUTEQUEEN hammock I've gotten from Amazon. When this one arrived, it had a pair of straps with it! Surprise! But these included straps are...an issue. The're wide and tough, exactly like a car seatbelt. Looks like they could support a million pounds. But there's only a loop on each end of the straps! So you'd have to find two trees the EXACT PERFECT distance apart. There's no adjustment loops on the straps. It's cool -- I'll use it to attach my other straps if I need some more distance. In all? A great hammock.
I was kind of skeptical at first about buying this just because it said it had to wait limit of 600 pounds and me being 440 lb I knew this thing was going to rip to shreds as soon as I got in it but guess what this thing is so comfortable durable and strong it held me with no problems I felt like a baby in the womb. I think I'm going to buy them for Christmas gifts.
Very nice hammock!
I inspected every inch of the stitching on this thing, and this is very nicely made. The only potential weakness I could see is near the ends.
I include a picture of the potentially weak spots, and a picture after I did my own stitching to reinforce this potential area of unraveling.
