So far so good. Bought this for a gift for my nieces. Hubby and I set it up and tried it out ourselves and it held us no problem (hubby is around 210 lbs). Definitely NOT a swing but seems to work great for sitting. Fits in the house as long as you have an 8 ft ceiling. I have a skychair that I am using with it. As long as it is attached high enough at the top our bottoms do not come close to hitting anything. Will update the review if need be later on.
I love my hammock and use it indoors. It's my go to reading nook. Only downer is that when my young grandsons get in it and swing around, the frame can tip over. They don't fall out, but this frame is not designed for swinging. Great for gentle movement, easy to get in and out of, Holds the hammock securely.

Does have a large base 'footprint' indoors, but the base is 'open' so the floor is clear under it for cleaning, etc.

a very nice hanging hammock chair frame. easy to assemble and quite sturdy with no chance of it breaking at base like the other one sold here on Amazon that does not have legs like this one but has a round swivel base with one attachment point that could easily break off over time. Heck this one even comes with the two wrenches to put it together with so if you dont own any tools, you can still put it together. do yourself a favor and get this one of you are looking for one of these. its pretty sweet!

I ordered two of these; the UPS person delivered one, and evidently decided that the other one wasn't deliverable.
The item(s) made its way from the west coast to the east coast, and it took a while. The one that landed at my door is absolutely great. Yes it's a big footprint, but it's well constructed, and I feel safe with people swinging in it. I only wish I had two, not one. And I have to wait for that slow ups mule to CA to get a refund.
I knotted up the chair as high as possible and it’s still only an inch from the bottom of the frame and my butt hits the curve. Almost impossible to get in and out of that height. I need to find a local metal worker to make it at least 18” taller. Unfortunately there was no way this was going to be repackaged and sent back. Also, the instructions reminded me of a very bad mime trying to describe an elephant having sex with a crocodile to a blind man. You just had to figure it out yourself.
Easy to put together and folliw instructions. I am very pleased
Works perfectly for us. Just the right height and seems very sturdy and stable. Easy to assemble. As others have said, it is quite large, but that's a good thing!
It’s awesome and fits my big chair perfectly. I know most people add a chair but I like itbup so high .
