Me an adult w nonverbal autism y loves it. Mi dad put on mi pull up bar in doorway to swing. Si far es great. Me spend hrs on it. But cuz sensory issue me puts a fleece blanky on 1st. Next us needs spinny hook.
Bought this for my son (7y) that is on the spectrum! He is always wanting to sit or hug on me and sometimes it's just too hot and he's also getting heavier! 😊 This gives him that comforting feeling and I can sit and enjoy my wine!! He loves it!! It is very well made and takes a few minutes to put together!! 5 stars
We recently ordered a "C-Swing" to hang a chair that we bought in Costa Rica. The chair drug the bottom of the C. We tried hanging some old sky chairs with the same results. I ordered this chair hoping it would fit and it does. I'm 170 pounds and there is close to one foot of clearance when I sit in it. The fabric is softer than I imagined it would be and I am overall happy with the purchase. What is disappointing is the wooden bar. It is actually visibly bent and bends a bit more when either my wife or I sit in the chair and I really don't feel that safe in it. I will be replacing that piece, which I feel I shouldn't have to but it's not that big of a deal for me.
I bought two of these swings - the other is the multi color red stripe. I was not expecting very much when I ordered these to be honest. I had bought the cheaper rope chair version previously and it was horrid (see my review of that separately). Consequently I ordered these because my kids were so upset over the loss of their rope chairs. When these swings first came out of the box I was very pleased with the thick fabric and sturdy seams. I wish the roping was poly and not cotton since it will not fray however, it can be replaced eventually if I need to. The wood hanging rod is solid and smooth. The rope hanger loops need to be threaded onto the rod - I found that the swing loops should be threaded first THEN the hanger piece last. There are no instructions that came with the swings however, it is simple common sense really. I hung these from the existing swing set and my kids absolutely love them. The sides are individually strung so they mold to your body as you sit in it. The pillows are very soft and plump but not really necessary. Neither of my kids use the pillows as they found it more comfy without them. They were nearly double in price of the rope chairs but the quality is far and away superior and thus absolutely worth it. As for sizes, I cannot attest to the comfort of anyone bigger than I am but I am 5'2" and about 115lbs and it fits me perfectly. I was almost asleep in it yesterday as I lounged in the sun. My kids are 9 and 6 and they have a lot more room in the swings so they can almost lay down inside them. They curl up with a book or an ipad and are completely content. If you are looking for a hammock chair this is a good choice.
There are many hammock chairs and different prices. Without seeing all the products with the naked eye it is hard to tell what distinguishes them. Well I have seen several after buying this one and know the difference. I saw one hanging in a cabin store and the design was nicer, the fabric more patio like canvas, fluffy designer pillow, wider and thicker bar, and hooks have metal casing enforcers. With all the fluff the chair kept its chair like form nicely. That said I would pay $169 for it. Bought two of these for the cabin screen porch and it worked perfectly. Because of the soft cotton like material, I anticipate it stretching after good use especially for anyone over 150. It definitely is a one person hammock chair. For an adult it would be difficult to tuck your whole body in it like some of the net versions of this chair. That said It is very comfortable and good size for reading or using an iPad and just lounging. To secure it I used a metal eyelet weighted for 280 lbs, a closed hook weighted for 250 lbs and connected hook to 2 feet of chain weighted for 300 lbs, and attached another closed hook that I latched to the chair. I used a drillbit to pre drill a hole into a 4x6 wood beam then screwed the eyelet thru the whole. Okay I confess, hubby was the one who actually did the work but I bought all the items with the help of a Home Depot handyman. I bought the 2 feet chain not only because I needed to but also because the combo of chain and closed hook would allow me to easily adjust the height. If you want to really swing on it you may want a different setup. The closed hook against the eyelet doesn't really accommodate a squeekless Swing. The kids and I can't wait to go up to the cabin and enjoy the breeze and swing . Great product, color is very accurate to photo. It goes well with cabin rich colors.

I don't think we will get off of these all spring! I bought two to hang on my porch and they are so much fun! It took a little bit to find a comfortable position partly because I thought they would come up over my head. It pretty much stops at my shoulders and I am 5'2", however, after a few adjustments it was great. I recommend using the pillows in the position they are in the picture, if you want to sit more upright. Without the pillows it is more cozy for snuggling in, you just have to find the right spot so you can rest your head or hold it comfortably. My husband is about 6" and has a large build, he sat down and felt completely comfortable at once. He said it didn't bother his neck or head and really felt comfortable on his shoulders. We hung them with chains and carabiners to attach to the rope and it works great! (We already had the hooks and chains on our porch from our porch swing, just added some carabiners from the garage.) Another point to mention, the bars are 3 feet long, which is no problem for me, but wider than I thought they would be. They are made of all cotton, so I don't anticipate them lasting more than a summer or two, but who knows? And, for the price, they are WELL worth it!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend them and I'm looking forward to spending many pleasant days sitting with my family!
*1month later: the ropes hanging them up are not holding up well. We still love them but need to find a way to replace the ropes.
It is nice and comfortable it is a little on the small side however I'm about 5'6" 130 pounds and it's perfect for me with a little room extra that I can pull my legs up and get comfy my has been rigged up something on the deck and also under a tree so that I can use it into different places both in the sun and under the shade
**UPDATE- after having this product for a year and using it frequently in the warmer months there's been no fighting or tearing are ripping of the fabric it's still in great shape and I would still recommend it

The construction seems sturdy and has held up well to the varying visiting parties who have claimed this chair as "their's" for the day/evening. However, after having this chair in our yard for quite a few months it has its short-comings when compared to other hammock styled chairs that have a cup holder and a foot-rest (which are actually quite fabulous features). That being said, the cup-holder aspect can easily be remedied by having a table nearby, and as for the foot-rest, well, not much can be remedied for that unless you hang the chair low to the ground or configure one as a mountable feature.
Another aspect of the chair that should be noted is that once you are in it, it hugs you like a cocoon - in other words, there is not much allowance for the free-range motion of your arms. Personally, I have found the attempt at sitting in the chair with a glass of wine and tablet/book a bit confining (and I'm a small lady in height and width).
Otherwise, the chair has held up well; gets lots of compliments; is quite comfortable when paired with the pillows; and certainly adds to the charm and atmosphere in one's yard.
We have had this swing for two years and not only my kids loved it but all of our neighbors kids loved this swing as well. SO, after two years of heavy duty use the rope has finally broke. It was such a great purchase, we are buying another one as all of the kids on the block are asking when are we getting another one. The product was made well and the kids range from eight years old to fourteen years old. If I had to state a con the only con I would have is the company should include a metal hook like an S hook but that will increase their cost which the company would not do. Outside of that the swing rocks. Enjoy and have fun with the swing as we sure did.
